Four Augusta Technical College students from Thomson were nominated for an award that honors excellence in academics and leadership among Georgia’s technical colleges and one of them became a semi-finalist to represent the college in the regional competition.
“The purpose of Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) program is to spotlight the outstanding achievements by students in Georgia’s technological colleges and to emphasize the importance of technical education in today’s global workforce,” said Eddie Howard, vice president of student affairs and coordinator of the GOAL program. GOAL winners are selected at each of the state’s 24 technical colleges and one Board of Regents college with a technical education division.
