“Jingle Bell Rock,” the popular and lively Christmas song, was the backdrop for the holiday lunch showcase of accomplishments of McDuffie County school children on Dec. 13.
Principals, board members, staff of the McDuffie County Board of Education and parents gathered at Thomson Presbyterian Church to witness Christmas –inspired dancing, singing, readings and presentations from students with special needs from Thomson Elementary, Maxwell Elementary, Thomson-McDuffie Middle and Thomson High schools.
The five-year-old event allowed the students from kindergarten through high school to come together outside of the school setting to celebrate the Christmas season and also to celebrate reaching their goals during the school year.
