The Lady Bucs (6-1) dominated Edmund Burke Academy, 69-36, and Brentwood, 56-40, on consecutive nights Monday and Tuesday.
"Overall, I'm very pleased," said Head Coach Keith Johnson. "We are light years beyond where we were last year."
The Briarwood girls have yet to lose a game in the month of December. The will be on the road for the remainder of the month where they look to keep their four-game win streak alive against the likes of Thomas Jefferson, Nathanael Greene and Augusta Prep.
Briarwood came out of the chute at warp speed Monday night as they went on a 24-0 run that lasted halfway through the second quarter against the Lady Spartans of EBA.
EBA didn't score their first points of the night until 5:22 left in the second.
"That's pretty impressive," said Johnson. "I was pleased with that." The Lady Bucs continued to stick with their successful formula of full court pressing every team they play. "We are a pressing team and that is what we're going to do," said Johnson.
