• Four arrested for armed robbery on Dallas Drive
By Linda Green

Four Thomson men were arrested Saturday for the roles they played in the armed robbery of a Dallas Drive home.
The McDuffie County Sheriff’s office responded to a call about a forcible entry, armed robbery and an assault at a home in the 1660 block of Dallas Drive at 7:45 p.m.
According to Sheriff’s Office Maj. Ronnie Williamson, Robert Butler reported being at his home on Dallas Drive, when he was attacked by several men that he knew and that one of the men produced a handgun.
“As they physically attacked Butler, some of them took items from Butler’s home,” the major said. Butler was transported by EMS to University Hospital McDuffie for treatment.
