County fire authorities are seeking the public’s assistance concerning a Tuesday morning fire on Wrightsboro Road.
Around 6:45 a.m., McDuffie County Fire Rescue was called to 1911 Wrightsboro Road, near Ridgeview Drive.
McDuffie County Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Stephen Sewell said the first unit on the scene reported smoke and fire coming from a single-wide mobile home, which was not visible from the road.
“Firefighters found close to 35 percent of the residence on fire on the eastern or bedroom end,” said Sewell.
The home, owned by Yolanda Doughty, should have been unoccupied, said Sewell, adding that there were no utilities running to the structure.
