The Briarwood Runnin' Bucs (1-2) lost their second game of the season Tuesday night against the Crusaders of Curtis Baptist 42-78. "I knew exactly what was coming with them," said Head Coach Bo Fleming. "Curtis Baptist is a very athletic team."
Offensively, the Runnin' Bucs top scorers were Dakota Reese with 14, Jackson Sims with 11 and Bryce Sowell with 7. The team only put up 10 points each in the first and second quarter, while the Crusaders had 45 at halftime. "Every game is going to be a challenge for us offensively. We just don't have many pure shooters, but we're working at it and getting better," said Fleming. "That's our biggest struggle facing us."
On the other side of the ball, Fleming is pleased with the defensive drive his team has game in and game out. "No matter what we give effort, 100 percent. The kids get after it and never quit," said Fleming.
