• Booster club gave $37k of support to THS sports in past year
By Brian Bowden

Like many high schools and universities across the nation, football attracts the majority of a fan base's attention. It's no different in Thomson.
That, in turn, typically attracts members, looking to help support their team monetarily and in other ways, to a booster club.
However, that doesn't mean that a football program should reap all the benefits while the other athletic programs at a school suffer. The Thomson Bulldog Athletic Booster Club does its part to spread the wealth where it is most needed and requested at Thomson High School and other schools in the area.
"There's a big misconception. People think of it [the club] as the football boosters, but it's the Thomson Bulldog Athletic Booster Club," said Chairman of the Membership Committee Jay Poston. "It's not set funds that go to specific programs. It's all based upon requests."
