• Annual yard sale helps club help the community

The Camellia City Lions Club is busy helping others.
Recently the club held a flea market at the Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Mary Beard, flea market coordinator, said the event was just one of many the 25-member club conducts.
“There are others, like our annual soup supper, barbecue chicken dinner and other events,” said Beard, adding the club began in the 1980s when it spun off from the Thomson Lions Club.
