Federal grand jury indicts 14 from CSRA in meth trafficking conspiracy

A man who was implicated in a large drug bust on the Whitaker Farm in McDuffie County in August was among 14 people from the CSRA indicted for methamphetamine trafficking on Oct. 8.
The indictment, unsealed Oct. 17 in federal court, lists Victor Eduardo Ovalle Jr., of Harlem, among area individuals charged with conspiring to traffic large amounts of methamphetamine from Mexico to McDuffie, Richmond, Columbia counties and areas of South Carolina.
Ovalle was arrested for trafficking meth in the August bust where investigators seized $50,000 worth of drugs, firearms and marijuana from the Whitaker Farm.
