The Jefferson County Lady Warriors defeated the Thomson Lady Dogs 3-2 Wednesday at Lady Bulldog Field in a seeding game of the Class AAA State Playoffs.
The win gave Jefferson County third seed and Thomson, which had defeated the Lady Warriors three times in the regular season, fourth seed.
The game was scheduled for Tuesday night, but Danny Farrell, Lady Bulldog head coach, said that umpires were not scheduled for the game.
Farrell said the mix-up was due to the region secretary in Dodge County not scheduling umpires for the Thomson-Jefferson County game.
The Lady Warriors scored two runs in the first inning, but Thomson tied the game in the fifth.
