• Men dressed as women arrested for marijuana
By Linda Green

Two North Carolina men who were dressed as women were arrested Thursday after law enforcement found marijuana inside their vehicle.
The Thomson Police Department, with assistance from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, arrested Michael D. Carr, 24, of Raleigh and Daimel S. Pippen of Tarboro and charged them with marijuana possession.
According to Thomson Police Captain Jamie Bridges, a local business owner alerted the police about a Dodge Charger in the Ryan’s and Walmart area for two or three days.
Bridges said the business owner informed the police department that a female occupant of the car would leave the car at Ryan’s, walk to Walmart and return up to 20 minutes later. A second female occupant would also do the same thing, he said.
