The Briarwood Academy middle school football team improved to 3-0 with a 36-6 victory Thursday night against John Milledge Academy.
“I can’t say enough about our kids. They come to work every day, we keep getting better, and the hard work is paying off on Thursday nights,” said Briarwood Coach Bo Fleming. “Our defense, offense, and special teams all looked good tonight.”
The Bucs’ Travis Pate recovered a Trojan fumble on the Trojans’ first possession. Two plays later, Jesse Cushman scored on a 55-yard touchdown run. Tyler Johnson added the two-point conversion run, making the score 8-0 with 3:30 left in the first quarter.
