The Thomson Bulldogs found out some things about themselves as they posted a 13-7 scrimmage win against the Evans Knights Friday night at The Brickyard.
A sparse crowd, probably because of a rainy night in Georgia, saw the two teams slosh it up as both got a view of things to work on before their regular seasons begin.
“I thought defensively we did some good things,” said Milan Turner, Thomson head coach. “We had one busted coverage that gave them that one score.”
Turner said the first team offense made some good plays, but kept shooting itself in the foot.
“The second offensive group did a great job with the read option,” the coach said.
