• Police arrest woman for prescription drug fraud
By Linda Green

A Martinez woman who attempted to use an altered prescription to obtain drugs from a local pharmacy was arrested Thursday.
According to Police Investigator Sgt. Don Hilson, Alana B. Neal went to the pharmacy inside the CVS on Jackson Street and presented a prescription.
He said the pharmacist called the Thomson Police after checking with the doctor because of a concern about the quantity of pills to be dispensed. “She had changed the quality of pills to receive,” Hilson said.
