Motorists on Washington Road have been slowed with roadwork this week, and the slowdown will continue on at least through next week.
Cissy McNure, of the Georgia DOT Office of Communication, said that the 1.8 miles of resurfacing came at a price tag of $484,952.
“The stretch runs from Old Wrightsboro Road and extends north to Interstate 20,” she said, adding that weather permitting, the work should be finished by July 19.
