Thomson Twin Cinema became the toast of the town Saturday as people from across the CSRA and South Carolina attended the premiere of a new gospel movie that will be shown on cable television.
Glitter, glitz and glam were the order of the day for the red carpet premiere of “New Wax for Old Shoes,” a movie about grace, salvation and redemption.
Filmed at locations throughout Thomson in May, the cast comprised pastors, church members and extras from across McDuffie County as well as individuals affiliated with the GUR Network.
The network creates two-hour family oriented shows that make the Bible’s messages relevant to everyday lives.
The movie tells the story of a former attorney whose life is affected by tragedy and is changed through meeting others who have overcome tragedies, found common ground and triumphed through faith.
