• House Watch: Let police keep eye on your home while you are away
By Linda Green

It is vacation time and the Thomson Police Department urges citizens to sign up to have their houses watched while they are away.
House Watch, a program that went into effect January 1, permits officers out on patrol to perform security checks on a registered home and watch the home until the resident returns.
In order to participate in House Watch, a person residing within the city limits of Thomson would fill out a form at the Thomson Police Department at the Old Courthouse at 309 Main Street, three to four days before departing town.
