• District 6 special election Tuesday

The special election to fill a vacancy on the McDuffie County Board of Education is Tuesday.
Early voting ended June 14 and 28 people out of 3,075 eligible voters cast ballots to fill the unexpired term of Dexter Lovins, who died Feb. 28.
The June 18 election is to place a representative into the District 6 seat of the McDuffie County Board of Education.
Those candidates seeking the District 6 position are:
•Raymond “Ray” Silverstein, of a Main Street address in Dearing
•Jerry W. Randolph, of an Augusta Road SE address
•Darrell L. Wells, of a Vernell Street address
Only those who live in District 6 will vote in the special election.
