Annie F. “Ann” Callaway
Annie F. “Ann” Callaway, 81, of Hinton Drive in Thomson, Ga., entered into rest on May 24, 2013.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Sun., May 26, at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Drawdy officiating. Interment was private.
Mrs. Callaway was born in Wilkes County, Ga. and was the daughter of the late H. T. Callaway and the late Mrytice Ogletree Callaway. She lived in Thomson, Ga. most of her life and was the retired owner and operator of Miss Ann’s Daycare. Mrs. Callaway was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she loved all children. She was also a devoted charter member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, James Callaway; sons, Barry Callaway and wife Pam, Donnie Callaway, Gary Callaway and wife Vickie; daughter, Karen C. Shields and husband Bill; brothers, W. C. “Sonny” Callaway, Cecil Callaway; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sat., May 25, at the funeral home.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.

Tommy E. Cato
Tommy E. Cato, 72, of Thomson, husband of Mary Ellen Cato, died on Sat., May 25, 2013.
Funeral services were held on Tues., May 28, at Faith Baptist Church. Burial was in Westview Cemetery.
The family received friends on Mon., May 27, at Curtis Funeral Home.

Deane F. Clark
Deane Flanders Clark, 64, of Pepperell, Mass., formerly of Norwood, entered into rest on May 24, 2013.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sun., June 2, at Norwood Cemetery.
Beggs Funeral Home of Thomson is handling the arrangements.

Henry Drake
Funeral services for Henry Drake, of Thomson, were held on Wed., May 29, 2013, at Warren County Cultural Center in Warrenton. Burial was in Gospel Aid Society Cemetery in Norwood.
D.T. Brown Memorial Mortuary handled the arrangements.

James Enfinger, Sr.
Ret. Maj. James "Jimmie" Elbert Enfinger, Sr., 73, of Hephzibah, passed away on Sun., May 26, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., May 31, at Bath Presbyterian Church & Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thurs, May 30, at James Funeral Home.

Sara J. Heard
Sara Jones Heard, 95, of Augusta, formerly of Tignall, entered into rest on Wed., May 29, 2013.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Beggs Funeral Home of Lincolnton.

Rodney Helmick
Rodney Clay Helmick, 44, of Dearing, father of Rodney J. Helmick, Derrick C. Helmick & Tyler D. Helmick, entered into rest on Tues., May 28, 2013.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., May 31, at Starling Funeral Home in Harlem.

Lydon Huff
Deacon Lydon Huff, of Augusta, husband of Agnes R. Huff, entered into rest on Thurs., May 23, 2013.
Funeral services were held on Tues., May 28, at United House of Prayer For All People in Dearing. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Thomson Funeral System handled the arrangements.

Waneta Lovitt
Waneta Lovitt, 97, of Martinez, wife of the late Francis V. Lovitt, passed away on May 24, 2013.
Burial and graveside services will be held at Utica Cemetery in Utica, Kan. on Mon., June 3, at 1 p.m.
Beggs Funeral Home, of Thomson, is in charge of local arrangements.

Blanche McCorkle
Blanche McCorkle, of Thomson, wife of the late Guy McCorkle, entered into rest on May 26, 2013.
Funeral services were held on Wed., May 29, at McNeill Funeral Home in Martinez. The family received friends prior to the service.

Mable Phelps
Funeral services for Mable Phelps, of Lincolnton, will be held on Fri., May 31, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Price Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thurs., May 30, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Michael Prandine, Jr.
Michael "Lil Mike" Anthony Prandine, Jr., 31, of Wrens, passed away on Sun., May 26, 2013.
Memorial services will be held on Thurs., May 30, at 3 p.m. at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home in Martinez. The family will receive friends after the service.

Billy Smith, Sr.
Billy Smith, Sr., of Appling, Ga., husband of Vicki Lee M. Smith, entered into rest on May 26, 2013.
Memorial services will be held on Thurs., May 30, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. prior to service.
