• Police to move to old City Hall building May 15
By Linda Green

The Thomson Police Department will be in its new home at the old city hall on May 15.
The police department is moving from its headquarters location on Public Safety Drive to 309 Main Street.
“We will be in our new home at that time,” said Police Chief John Seay. “We are down to cleaning carpet and moving furniture,” he said. For the last several weeks, the police department has been converting the old city hall into a place of for police business.
Police department leaders want the citizens of Thomson to know that their police service will be in the heart of downtown.
