TPD nabs man with marijuana and hydrocodone
By Linda Green

Noticing that something may be suspicious about the presence of a car in a wooded area on Forest Clary Drive Tuesday night resulted in a drug bust for a Thomson Police officer.
Officer Clay Mullis was on routine patrol on Forest Clary Drive at 8:50 p.m. when he saw a vehicle parked on a dirt driveway near a wooded area. As the officer watched the car, he noted movement inside the vehicle and initiated a check on the occupants.
According to Police Captain Jamie Bridges, the smell of burnt marijuana was present when Mullis approached the car occupied by two people.
