Since January, the Thomson Police Department has been regularly called to respond to burglary-related incidents and officers have responded to 10 home break-ins thus far in April.
“We want to prevent a burglary epidemic,” said Police Captain and Investigator Jamie Bridges.
The most recent home invasions have occurred in the areas of Hickory Hills, Dixie Drive and Mendal Avenue.
“We are responding to a robbery call almost every other day,” the captain said.
The police department wants Thomson residents to be aware of the robberies and needs assistance in apprehending the burglars.
