Nearly 30 runners took to the streets Saturday morning for the Dawg Dash 2013.
Chilly temperatures near 40 greeted the runners who thumped the streets behind Norris Elementary School.
Brian Usry, coach of the Thomson-McDuffie Middle School track team and organizer of the event, in its second year, said this year’s attendance was down a bit from last year.
“As always, you want more participation, but overall I was pleased with this year’s event,” said Usry. “It turned out to be a great morning to run. It’s fun to have something like this in our community, and we will look at doing it again next year.”
