A man sought by law enforcement from four counties was captured Friday in a home on Clark-Reese Road.
Jason W. Broome, 32, who was wanted by law enforcement for car-break-in, automobile theft and financial card fraud in McDuffie, Warren and Columbia counties and in North Augusta, S.C. was taken into custody around 3 p.m. April 19.
Deputies from the McDuffie and Warren County Sheriff’s departments, officers from the Thomson Police Department and agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation surrounded a trailer at 3896 Clark-Reese Road after McDuffie County received a tip that Broome may be located there.
Broome, of the 700 block of Central Road, was sought in a daylong April 12 manhunt but eluded capture. When law enforcement arrived at the Clark-Reese Road site, they surrounded the trailer, a shed and a small camper on the property.
