Dearing Elementary School got red, white and blue treatment Friday morning.
Representatives from the Woodmen of the World Lodge 1406 – Harlem presented the school with flags.
The presentation was made during a small program before approximately 100 third- and fourth-graders at the school.
The donation of flags came about when school council community leader Al Reeves, of O.P.M. Property Investments, Inc. and the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office, noticed the flag in front of the school had become worn.
Reeves contacted the lodge and arranged for Tim Phillips, district field manager, and Will Phillips, field manager, to present a large flag to be flown in front of the school and 32 smaller classroom flags.
