Gordon Arrington, Sr.
Gordon Arrington, Sr., 94, of Crawfordville, Ga., entered into rest on April 12, 2013.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sun., April 14, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Boyd Reeves officiating.
Mr. Arrington was born in McDuffie County, Ga. and was the son of the late George Washington Arrington and the late Ruby Hobbs Arrington. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Arrington was retired as Executive Director of the USDA Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in McDuffie County with 30 years of service. He also retired as the owner and operator of Arrington Industries with 39 years of service. Mr. Arrington was past president of the local Farm Bureau, former member of the Lionís Club and past Commander of the VFW Post. He was also a member of Ft. Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Moore Arrington of Crawfordville, Ga.; sons, Gordon Arrington, Jr. (Diane) of Thomson, Ga., Frederick Francis Arrington (Traci) of Norwood, Ga.; daughter, Debbie Arrington Gunn (J. J.) of Warrenton, Ga.; sister, Lois A. Richards of Crawfordville, Ga.; grandchildren, Richard Edward Arrington, Michael Scott Arrington, Teresa Gunn Foster, Leigh Gunn Jones and Amanda A. Jones; and great grandchildren, Ricky Arrington, Gage Jones, Nicole Jones, Austin Jones and A. G. Foster. Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by wife, Catherine Finke Arrington.
Memorials may be made to Ft. Creek Baptist Church, 1497 Fort Creek Rd., Dearing, Ga. 30808 or to New Providence Baptist Church, 10046 GA Hwy. 80, Norwood, Ga. 30821.
The family received friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Myrtis Ashley
Myrtis Ashley, 96, of Thomson, widow of Claude O. Ashley, Sr., passed away on Fri., April 12, 2013.
Funeral services were held on Sun., April 14, at Sweetwater Baptist Church & Cemetery.
The family received friends on Sat., April 13, at Curtis Funeral Home.

Fair M. Hinton
Alma Fair Mulkey Hinton entered into rest on April 10, 2013 at her home in Warrenton, Ga.
Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon, April 15, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Warrenton with Rev. Mike Dann officiating. Interment to follow at Little Brier Creek Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeff Hinton, Jay Hinton, Ben Hinton, Franklin Banks, Jr., Jay Reese and great grandson, Dalton Reese.
Miss Fair was the daughter of the late Anna Lou Ellen Mulkey and the late Franklin Mulkey. She retired as head supervisor from Garland Knitting Mills of Warrenton. Miss Fair was also a faithful and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Warrenton.
She was preceded in death by husband, James Louie Hinton; and grandson, Jason Landry Smallwood of Griffin, Ga.
Miss Fair was the beloved mother of three daughters, Gerry H. Smallwood (Jim) of Griffin, Ga., Ellen H. Sorrentino (Neil) of Greensboro, Ga., Zephie H. Banks of Thomson, Ga.; and one son, Reginald Mulkey Hinton (Sherryle) of Warrenton, Ga.; her nine grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Survivors also include, Ann Hinton Smith and Franklin Banks, Sr. of Warrenton, Ga.
Miss Fairís family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to caregiver, Velma Morgan.
The family received friends on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles Mauney
Charles Fred Mauney, 92, of Wrens, husband of the late Ann Peeples Mauney, passed away on Fri., April 12, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tues., April 16, at James Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Wrens Memorial Cemetery.

Ollie Jean Neal
Ollie Jean Harrell Neal, 57, of Salem Rd. in Thomson, Ga., entered into rest on April 14, 2013. She was the widow of the late Herbert Lee ďChickenĒ Neal.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., April 18, at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Neal was a native of McDuffie County, Ga. and was retired as co-owner and operator of Nealís Produce and Moving. She was a member of Little Brier Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Leann N. Robinson and husband Dennis; grandchildren, Deanna Marie Robinson and Alayna Dee Robinson, all of Dearing, Ga.; brothers, Lewis Harrell, Jerry Harrell; and sisters, Ann Smith and Roger Mae Harrell.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Carrie Pinkston
Funeral services for Carrie Lee Ruff Pinkston, 78, of Warrenton, will be held on Sat., April 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Stamp Branch Missionary Baptist Church & Cemetery in Warrenton.
Thomson Funeral System is handling the arrangements.

Eva Snellings
Eva Mae McNair Snellings, 83, of Dearing, wife of Robert Snelling, passed away on Fri., April 12, 2013.
Funeral services will be held on Mon., April 15, at 1 p.m. at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
