Tuesday afternoon Briarwood Academy’s baseball team lost 9-3 on its home diamond to one of the top teams in Region 1AA — undefeated Central Fellowship Christian Academy.
“We had a couple of missed plays in the field, but it boiled down to we walked eight. You can’t walk eight and give yourself the best opportunity,” said Briarwood Coach Bo Fleming.
In the opening inning, Central Fellowship scored on a two-run home run. In the bottom half, the Bucs answered with one run being driven in on a Bryce Sowell single which scored Steven Parris. The Lancers expanded their lead by adding one run in the second inning, then three runs in the third inning.
