A Warrenton woman and a Warthen man have each been charged with 11 counts of forgery and identity theft after using checks they allegedly stole from a couple living on Cowhide Road in McDuffie County.
According to Thomson Police Sgt. Marquis Murray, the victims did not know about the theft until checks that they had not written on their account began showing up on their statement.
The captain said that at 7 p.m., March 22, Cynthia and William Glenn, of Cowhide Road, filed a report with the Thomson Police Department that a box of ordered checks which they had been awaiting delivery had been stolen.
