• Dogs drop region game to Jefferson Co. Warriors
By Jim Wallace, Correspondent

The Thomson High School Diamond Dogs found themselves on the losing end of a region game Thursday against the Jefferson County Warriors.
The Bulldogs lost 5-3 in a game that Aaron Hall, Thomson head coach, thought the team should have won.
“We just didn’t execute hitting like I felt we should,” said Hall. “When we did hit the ball, it was right at someone or they made a circus catch.”
The Warriors scored a run in the first inning and Thomson tied the game in the second. In the third, Jefferson County added four runs and Thomson could only manage two more runs in the fifth inning.
