Misao Hardaway
Misao Michi Hardaway, 80, of Thomson, wife of James "J.D." Hardaway, passed away on March 25, 2013.
Funeral services will be held on Thurs., March 28, at 1 p.m. at Curtis Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wed., March 27, at the funeral home.

Harold E. Hook
Dr. Harold E. Hook, 84, of Thomson, Ga., formerly of Memphis, Tenn., entered into rest on March 26, 2013.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., March 29, in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tenn.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Anna Lloyd Hook; daughter, Penny Crawley and husband Johnny; step daughter, Ann McQuaig and husband Mike; step son, Lee Powell and wife Jeannie; son, Eddie Apperson; and eight grandchildren.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.

Fred Johnson, Jr.
Fred L. Johnson, Jr., 42, of Harlem, son of Gloria C. Johnson and the late Fred L. Johnson, Sr., passed away on March 25, 2013.
The family will receive friends on Fri., March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mann Memorial United Methodist Church in Augusta.
Starling Funeral Home of Harlem is handling the arrangements.

Cora Lee Newman
Cora Lee Newman, 73, of Elberton Hwy. in Lincolnton, Ga., entered into rest on March 25, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thurs., March 28, in the Chapel at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Randy Griffith and Rev. Michael Newman officiating. Interment will follow.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, is in charge of arrangements.

Miracle Prince
Little Miss Miracle McKinley Prince, of Lincolnton, daughter of Jonquise T. Prince, entered into rest on Sun., March 24, 2013.
Graveside services will be held on Fri., March 29, at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Danburg, Ga.
W. H. Mays Mortuary of Augusta is handling the arrangements.

Danny Rooks
John Daniel ”Danny” Rooks, 48, of Central Rd. Ext. in Thomson, Ga., entered into rest on March 28, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sat., March 30, at Sweetwater Baptist Church in Thomson with Rev. J. B. Redd, Rev. Kenneth Garvin and Rev. Grant Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Travis Rooks, Chris Walker, Tim Williams, Jim Hall, Ryan Bowman and Doug Smith.
Mr. Rooks was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Ga. He was a 1982 graduate of Briarwood Academy and was retired as a Mail Clerk from MCG. Mr. Rooks was a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. He enjoyed baseball, especially watching the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Stephanie Rooks; mother, Doris B. Rooks and brother, Ray Rooks and wife Lynne, all of Thomson, Ga. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Rooks, Sr.
Memorials may be made to the Sweetwater Baptist Church Renovation Fund, 1606 Wrens Hwy., Thomson, Ga. 30824.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
