The Thomson Bulldogs split two games recently, with the win coming on Diamond Day.
On Friday, the Dogs traveled to Dodge County and lost 10-2 to the Indians.
“On that particular day, they were a better baseball team than we were,” said Aaron Hall, THS head coach. “They had good pitching, kept it around the knees and got a lot of ground balls. We couldn’t get big hits when we needed them.”
Morgan Hyde stroked a 2-run homer for THS, while Drake Widener went 3-for-3, with two doubles. Hunter Bragg went 2-for-3. Tripp Jones took the mound loss for the Dogs.
