• Weaving car leads to marijuana discovery

A car weaving across Main Street Thursday night caught the attention of a Thomson Police officer who enacted a traffic stop.
After Patrolman Rod Rodriguez stopped the car in the parking lot of 640 Main Street at 9:30 p.m. for failure to maintain lane, the occupants drew his suspicion, which lead to a search of the vehicle and their persons.
The driver, Mary K. Wade, 21, and Demetrius L. Edwards, 27, were arrested for marijuana possession.
