• City council expands peddler’s license

A peddler’s license is required for anyone seeking to make door-to-door sales in Thomson and every individual seeking a vending or peddling permit to sell door-to-door must have a criminal background check.
Those elements are part of an application process that expands the City of Thomson’s existing peddling ordinance.
Created by City Attorney Jimmy Plunkett, the application identifies the applicant to the police department if the department gets a call from a citizen about someone knocking on their door attempting to sell something.
