• Adams wins gold and silver awards

Three family-oriented stories penned by a local author have been awarded by Parenting Media Association.
Lucy Adams of Thomson won both gold and silver awards during a March 9 banquet that concluded the PMA Annual Convention in Atlanta. She won in the "Service Feature" category in publications of 25,000 or less circulation. The category had 41 journalistic entries for best in 2012.
Adams’ entries were featured in Augusta Family Magazine, a publication in Augusta that helps people navigate parenthood. She said that when she composes stories for the magazine, her goal is to provide accurate, entertaining information that will make a real difference for readers.
