• Felony jury trials begin Monday

The former JROTC instructor accused of having a sexual relationship with a student will face a jury during the week of March 18.
Mitchell Sivas, the former Harlem High School teacher, will be among those tried in McDuffie County Felony Jury Trials beginning Monday at 9:30 a.m.
Sivas nor his attorney appeared in Superior Court Judge Harold Hinesley’s court on Tuesday morning for a hearing,
The judge said Sivas had not waived a jury trial and the case is in the lineup of trials beginning Monday.
The former high school JROTC instructor was indicted by the McDuffie County Grand Jury on June 18, 2012.
