The Thomson High School Future Farmers of America took careful aim Thursday, Feb. 28.
Nearly 20 FFA students gathered at an archery range by the tennis courts and took turns at shooting a bow.
“We decided to have the class to help expose FFA week this week and to raise awareness of the FFA and the class,” said Jonathan Rosier, vice president of THS FFA.
The students used the Matthews Genesis Competition Compound bows in the contest. At the end of the day, points were totalled and the winner received a prize.
The students in the course went through two class periods where they learned safety and the basics.
