• Trash Amnesty Day will be March 23
By Linda Green

This is the time of year when families begin to rid their homes of winter clutter and clean their residences from top to bottom and begin to landscape their lawns.
Normally, residents will be charged to dispose of their refuse at the county’s landfill, but on Sat. March 23, citizens may rid themselves of their junk for free.
The county’s solid waste department is once again offering a “Trash Amnesty Day,” at the transfer station, located 4.5 miles west of Thomson on Mesena Road.
