The Thomson Bulldogs scored two convincing and chilly baseball wins Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, Thomson hosted the Washington-Wilkes Tigers and came away with a 15-0 win at Bulldog Field. Saturday, THS visited Harlem, winning 12-2.
While the wind pushed temperatures into the 30s, the Bulldogs stayed hot against the Tigers. Thomson erupted for nine runs in the first inning of the game that was called after four by the mercy rule.
Whit Newton led THS in hitting going 2-for-3. Trevor Stephens, Hunter Bragg and Kyle Edwards all had doubles for the Bulldogs.
Jared Holliman pitched the distance for Thomson, allowing five hits.
