• Students learn sales and value of money at TES Market Day

Friday morning, third-graders sold their goods, then had a chance to shop as the gym at Thomson Elementary School was transformed into a huge market.
The crowded scene marked TES’ annual Market Day. This was the fifth year of the event.
Tab Purvis, who teaches all third grade science and social studies classes, has helped lead all five events. She sees the success measured in what the children learn.
But, the learning begins long before the actual day of buying and selling assorted goods.
