• Lady dogs lose in region tournament, heading to state

The Thomson Lady Bulldogs lost Friday 48-38 to Swainsboro and wound up in fourth place in the Region 3-AAA playoffs in Swainsboro.
Even with the loss, the Lady Dogs advanced to the first round of the Class AAA Tournament. Thomson traveled to Southwest-Macon Tuesday to face the Lady Patriots who have a record of 20-5.
