• Oratorical contest to showcase heritage appreciation Saturday

Youth from across McDuffie County will participate in an oratorical contest illustrating their knowledge of and appreciation for their heritage on Saturday.
Sponsored by the Thomson Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the Feb. 23 competition will allow youth from sixth grade to college freshmen to highlight personalities and historical organizations that have made a positive impact on people and areas.
