The Lady Bulldogs ran into a buzzsaw in the first round of the Region 3-AAA playoffs in Swainsboro Wednesday night.
The Washington County Lady Golden Hawks bopped THS 55-31 in a game where the Lady Hawks were never threatened.
Washington County led 18-3 after the first period and 22-9 at the half.
“They are a very good team,” said Michael Williams, Thomson head coach, of the opponents. “We got unsettled in the first period and calmed down and made a little better game until towards the end. Washington County went after every ball and every point. We need to learn that.”
Alesheia Johnson scored 10 points to lead the Lady Dogs and RaKylah Walker was next with nine points.
