• Man dies in Saturday accident

A McDuffie County man lost his life Saturday in a single-vehicle accident near Dearing.
Emergency personnel responded to Augusta Highway nearly a half-mile west of Radford Gay Road about 6:50 a.m.
Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Paul Waller said that Michael Robert Thomas Fountain, 24, of May Road, was driving west on Augusta Highway when he lost control of a Hyundai Elantra.
