Bulldogs sign to play college ball
By Jim Wallace, Correspondent

The room was packed with potential as four Thomson High School Bulldogs signed Div. 1 football scholarships at the school on Wednesday, National Signing Day across the country.
William Bussey, defensive end; Bernard Dawson, linebacker, and Chris Jordan, running back, inked with Georgia Southern University. Jordan Davis, tight end, signed to play at the University of Georgia.
Dawson said an education and a close-to-home connection were big positives.
I wanted to be close to home so folks can see me play and I can come home, Dawson said. I felt that the school was a place I could grow both on the football field and as a person. As far as studies, I want to become a dentist.
