Commissioners tackle Rousseau water, cable request
By Linda Green

Residents of Rousseau Creek have been requesting McDuffie County provide cable and water services to their community or allow a water connection to Columbia County.
The residents were told during a Thursday work session of the McDuffie County Commission that it would be possible for a water connection to Columbia County to serve the people at the end of Rousseau Road, but it would take a sales tax referendum to pay for the $500,000 cost for water lines across county lines, water meters and vaults, engineering and other services.
