Lawson, who will play for the Lady Bobcats, and Haley Poss, who also inked a pact with the team Tuesday at Thomson High School have played together for nearly 12 years.
Lawson said she is excited about attending the junior college, which competes in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.
“I get to start my journey,” she said. “I look forward to playing softball and hope to play basketball, too.”
