A dispute between two Thomson men on Saturday evening resulted in the death of one and the arrest of another for murder.
McDuffie County Sheriff Logan Marshall said his office received a call around 4:45 p.m. reporting a black male had been found dead on the kitchen floor of 146 Pounds Street.
As the deceased was being identified as Jonathan Curry, 36, and while next of kin were being notified, word spread by mouth, telephone and social media until a massive crowd of more than 300 people gathered in the area.
