A retired schoolteacher who spends her days creating usable items from yarn is an example of Jesus’ directive that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
Vilissa Talcott began teaching and crocheting 36 years ago and she has been making items to give to people in need and as gifts.
Since retiring from the English Department of Thomson High School in 2011, she devotes hours each day to crocheting. “This is my passion and I love to make things,” the needle-worker said. “I am a very giving person.”
