• Firefighters and forestry units fight fire on multiple fronts

Hot spots left from a controlled burn that occurred three days earlier sent the county fire department and the forestry service into action Monday.
Two fire engines, two brush trucks, one tanker, 17 firefighters and a two-man Georgia forestry team, with equipment, responded to the 2500 block of Three Points Road to find smoke and fire in three directions.
