Bobby D. Adkins
Bobby D. Adkins, of Warrenton, Ga., husband of the late Velma W. Adkins, entered into rest on Jan. 29, 2013.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Fri., Feb. 1, at Adam's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Starling Funeral Home in Harlem, Ga.
John Mack Alley, Sr.

John Mack Alley, Sr., 77, of Reese Street in Thomson, Ga., entered into rest on Jan. 29, 2013 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 1, in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Lambert officiating.
Mr. Alley was born in Tarversville, Ga. to the late Davis Alley and the late Mary Long Alley. He lived in Thomson for the past 50 years and retired as a maintanence supervisor from J. M. Huber with 34 years of service. Mr. Alley was an avid golfer and was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Loretta C. Alley; sons, John Mack Alley, Jr. and wife Janice of Martinez, Ricky Alley of Midville; daughter, Vicki Neal of Thomson; sisters, Dorothy Stroup, Marguerite Langel; grandchildren, Shannon Kernaghan and husband Trey, Victoria Alley, Kelly Branan and husband Michael, Stacy Neal, Emily Neal; great grandchildren, Alley Kernaghan, Aubrey Branan; and special friends, Chris and Kim Mohr and family. Mr. Alley was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Alley.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, Ga. 30824, designated to the Ferguson Property Fund.
Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
Gene A. Barnes
Gene Autry Barnes, of Thomson, Ga., passed away on Jan. 27, 2013. He was a native of Lincolnton, Ga.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., Jan. 31, at Parks Grove FBH Church in Lincolnton.
Vicki Lee Morris Hoffa, of Harlem, Ga., wife of Stephen Hoffa, entered into rest on Sun., Jan. 27, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thurs., Jan. 31, at Harlem Baptist Church. Interment will be in Harlem Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tues., Jan. 29, and Wed., Jan. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Starling Funeral Home.
Richard L. Reese
Richard Lee Reese, 46, entered into rest on Jan. 29, 2013 at his residence after a long illness.
Mr. Reese lived in McDuffie County most of his life and was a welder. He was a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church. He will be truly missed by his family and many friends.
Mr. Reese is survived by his wife, Deborah; daughters, Ricki Leigh, Laura, and Sarah (Ryan) Smith; parents, Herbert and Jeanie Reese; and brothers, David (Michelle) Reese and Donnie (Penny) Reese. He is preceded in death by his son, Kenny Johnson; and grandparents, Diamond and Helen Barnes.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sat., Feb. 2, at Curtis Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny McClure Officiating.
It is the family’s request that memorials be made to Curtis Funeral Home, 218 W. Hall St., Thomson, Ga. 30824.
Funeral services for Early Reid, of Lincolnton, Ga., will be held on Wed., Jan. 30, 2013, at 12 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.
Terry F. Watts
Terry Franklin Watts, 56, of Hephzibah, Ga., son of the late Agnes Hayes Watts and Billy Watts, entered into rest Sat., Jan. 26, 2013.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 29, at James Funeral Home Chapel in Wrens, Ga. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Keysville UMC Cemetery.
Rubye M. Wells
Rubye McCorkle Wells, 87, of Dearing, Ga., wife of the late Gordon C. Wells, entered into rest on Jan. 29, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 1, at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel. Entombment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held on Thurs., Jan. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Starling Funeral Home in Harlem, Ga.
